About this program
The Research Society for Victorian Periodicals (RSVP) awards the Rosemary VanArsdel Prize annually for the best graduate student essay on Victorian periodicals and newspapers. The winner receives $500 and publication in Victorian Periodicals Review; applications open May 1 and are due July 1. Applicants must be enrolled in a master’s or doctoral program at submission, and essays must be unpublished, not under consideration elsewhere, approximately 4,000–7,500 words, and submitted as an MS Word attachment. RSVP membership is generally not required.
