About this program
The Vilcek Foundation awards the Vilcek Prize for Excellence to intellectual and cultural leaders whose work has made a profound societal impact and created a lasting legacy in the arts, sciences, or humanities. The prize includes a $100,000 cash award and commemorative diploma and may not be awarded every year. Candidates are identified and vetted internally by the Foundation’s advisors, with finalists reviewed by Jan and Marica Vilcek and the Board of Directors. The Foundation does not accept unsolicited nominations.
