Thinking Out of the Box Session Submission

The Association for Surgical Education’s Committee on Assessment, Curriculum, and Evaluation invites proposals for its “Thinking Out of the Box” session at the 47th Annual Meeting, April 1–3, 2027. Selected presenters will deliver five-minute presentations on innovative surgical education approaches, with awards of $150, $100, and $50 for the top three presentations. Submissions are due October 30, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. ET and must describe the intervention, target learners, educational program, outcomes or anticipated improvements, transferability, and implementation barriers with mitigation strategies. Proposals should include the full author list and topic category, and presenters must register for the meeting; ideas need not have undergone formal scientific evaluation.
