Tier 1 Grants

About this program

The Rasmuson Foundation offers Tier 1 Grants to support small capital projects and one-time investments for Alaska-based nonprofits, Tribes, and state and local government entities actively serving Alaskans. Funding can be used for technology upgrades, renovations, vehicles, furnishings, and other small capital investments, with a maximum award of $35,000 and most awards ranging from $5,000 to $20,000. Eligible applicants include Alaska-based nonprofits with at least one year of 501(c)(3) status, Tribes, and government entities, with faith-based organizations considered if their project demonstrates broad community impact. There is no match requirement, and applications are accepted year-round with decisions typically made within 90 days.
