TMS Annual Conference Travel Grant (Educational Trust Awards)

About this program

TMS offers travel grants of up to £250 to support postgraduate students and early career researchers in attending the TMS Annual Conference, with funds allowable for registration, travel, subsistence and accommodation. Applicants must be TMS members and either registered postgraduate students or within five years of PhD completion. Applications are submitted via an online form and are assessed for completeness, demonstration of benefit to the applicant’s scientific career or project development, explanation of financial need and a realistic budget; a lottery scheme is being trialled from 2024, applications are due by 31 August in the year of attendance with outcomes notified mid-September, and successful recipients must provide a short report for the Newsletter.
