TPEA Research and Development Grants

About this program

TPEA offers Research and Development Grants of up to £1,000 (up to four awards annually) to support new empirical studies, literature surveys, dissemination activities or extensions of existing work that advance research and effective practice in educational technologies and teacher professional development. Successful projects must produce a short final Project Report for publication on the TPEA website and are expected to yield additional outputs (e.g., blog posts, conference presentations, articles); grants are paid on report submission though up to 50% may be requested in advance if linked to deliverables. Applications are accepted at any time and are reviewed approximately quarterly by a panel; projects must be completed within 12 months of the agreed start date. Principal applicants must hold a current TPEA Membersplus+ subscription (individual or via institutional membership), only one award is allowed per member or institutional membership per year, and proposals are assessed for alignment with TPEA aims, methodological clarity, team capability and potential for publishable impact.
