Transportation Art by Youth (TABY) Summer Program Teaching Artist

About this program

The Arts Foundation for Tucson and Southern Arizona, in partnership with the City of Tucson and Pima Association of Governments, sought a Teaching Artist to lead a 12-week summer program guiding youth in designing and producing interactive public-art puzzle murals for Wagging Tails Dog Park. The selected artist would receive a $25,000 stipend and a $15,500 artwork budget covering materials, production, transportation, and installation. Applicants needed public-art experience, teaching experience equivalent to at least two years or an AA/BA in a related field, an Arizona driver’s license, auto and liability insurance, and an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card. Applications required an artist statement, résumé, and six completed-work images and were due April 8, 2024.
