About this program

United Airlines Trust Fund, administered by the Siouxland Community Foundation, awards scholarships (two-thirds of annual net income) and community grants (one-third) to support crisis response, public safety, social services, counseling, health care, training, public education, and other community-based activities that enhance Siouxland’s ability to respond to disasters or health hazards. Eligible applicants are 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and qualified units of government serving the greater Siouxland tri-state area (approximately a 50-mile radius of Sioux City, IA). Grants generally do not exceed $2,500; applications open February 15 with a May 15 deadline and final determinations made in mid-June, and awards are prioritized based on need, project merit, and potential community impact.
