UPTODATE Subscription Grant Program

About this program

UpToDate, Inc., in collaboration with the Society of General Internal Medicine (SGIM), offers the UpToDate® Subscription Grant Program to provide a one-year UpToDate® Internal Medicine subscription to selected hospitals, clinics, or individual clinicians in medically underserved areas of the U.S. and its territories. Eligible applicants are primary care physicians who practice or teach in underserved communities (e.g., >50 miles from a city of 400,000+, HPSAs, high-minority/low-income areas, or practices with >50% Medicaid/uninsured/minority patients), must not already have access to UpToDate®, and must demonstrate financial need and how the resource will enhance patient care and teaching. SGIM membership is not required but is prioritized; recipients must have computer/internet access. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and require a brief (≤2-page) electronic proposal; grantees must submit a six-month utilization report.
