UREAG Travel Grant (CIES Annual Meeting)

About this program

Comparative and International Education Society (CIES), via the UREAG Committee, offers travel grants of $250–$400 to support students and scholars from under‑represented racial, ethnic, and ability groups presenting accepted research at the CIES Annual Meeting. Awards are based on application quality, institutional representation, and attention to diversity, with special consideration for applicants traveling from outside North America. Applicants must be CIES members in good standing and UREAG members with an accepted proposal; a complete application (application form, abstract, and acceptance notice) must be emailed to UREAG@cies.us with the subject line "UREAG Travel Grant Application." Recipients receive funds on‑site, are expected to attend the UREAG business meeting unless it conflicts with their presentation, and must submit a one‑paragraph follow‑up report within one month; applicants who previously received a grant but failed to submit the required report are ineligible.
