Division 7 (Society for Developmental Psychology, American Psychological Association) offers the Urie Bronfenbrenner Award for Lifetime Contribution to Developmental Psychology in the Service of Science and Society to honor an individual whose career has advanced developmental science and applied it to improve the condition of children and families. The award recognizes contributions such as advocacy, direct service, influencing public policy or education, or other actions that translate developmental psychology into societal benefit, and is presented at the APA Annual Convention (attendance not required). Eligible nominees are individuals with a lifetime record of substantive scientific and societal impact in developmental psychology; nominations/submissions are accepted January 1–March 15, 2027 (deadline March 15, 2027).
