Using Get With the Guidelines® Clinical Registry Data to Address Gaps in Care of Patients with Cardiovascular Disease or Stroke

About this program

The American Heart Association offers one-year grants of up to $50,000, with up to 15 awards anticipated, to support early-career researchers using Get With the Guidelines® registry data to address gaps in cardiovascular disease and stroke care implementation. Projects must analyze one registry dataset—atrial fibrillation, coronary artery disease, heart failure, or stroke—through the AHA Precision Medicine Platform. Applicants must be AHA Professional Members, have a research mentor and appropriate investigative environment, and demonstrate proficiency in R or Python or include a qualified collaborator; participation in two mandatory virtual training sessions is required. Project leads must represent a U.S.-based academic or nonprofit organization, and proposals are due through ProposalCentral by December 4, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. CT.
