Value Assessment and Health Outcomes Research Faculty Starter Grant

The PhRMA Foundation offers the Faculty Starter Grant in Value Assessment-Health Outcomes Research (VA-HOR) to support early-career faculty conducting research on evaluating the delivery, effectiveness, and value of medicines and healthcare interventions. This one-year grant provides $100,000 for research addressing areas such as patient-reported outcomes, health equity, and innovative value measurement methods, with a strong emphasis on patient engagement. Eligibility is limited to full-time, research-intensive faculty at accredited U.S. universities who began their faculty status on or after January 1, 2022, and lack substantial external research funding. Exceptions for career interruptions, such as parenting or health issues, may be considered.
