Veteran Projects Fund grant (American Legion Auxiliary Foundation)

About this program

The American Legion Auxiliary Foundation’s Veteran Projects Fund awards grants to ALA entities (units, districts/counties, departments) to meet new, one‑time veteran needs—examples include durable items or infrastructure that benefit multiple veterans over time. Grants are up to $10,000 and the Foundation will cover up to 80% of project costs; applicants must provide at least 20% of the total (exceptions may be considered) and funds may not reimburse expenses incurred before approval. Eligible applicants are ALA entities (projects may be done alone or in collaboration) and may receive one grant per 12‑month period; projects should align with the ALA mission and preferably yield lasting impact. Apply via ALAFoundation.org (Grants tab, Veteran Projects Fund) and email ALAFoundation@ALAforVeterans.org with questions; grantees must submit progress/outcome summaries, photos, media coverage, and financial reports within 30 days of project completion.
