About this program
The Research Society for Victorian Periodicals (RSVP) offers the annual Victorian Periodicals Review Expanding the Field Prize for an outstanding essay that diversifies nineteenth-century periodical studies through anti-racist, anti-colonial, global, or BIPOC-centered approaches. The recipient receives $500 and publication in Victorian Periodicals Review; applications are open May 1 through July 1. Graduate students, independent scholars, and faculty of all ranks may apply, and submissions must be original, unpublished, not under review elsewhere, and approximately 4,000–7,500 words. Essays should be submitted as double-spaced MS Word attachments by email to the journal editor; RSVP membership is not required.
