WACE Research Grant

About this program

WACE (World Association for Cooperative & Work‑Integrated Education) offers a CAD$15,000 research grant to support a single project that advances understanding of cooperative and work‑integrated education (CWIE) with implications across geographic regions and/or multiple institutions; the next grant round is scheduled for 2027 and funds are paid to the PI’s institutional research or finance office. The Principal Investigator must be affiliated with a post‑secondary/tertiary institution and be a WACE member; WACE Executive Council members, the IRC Chair, and the Grants Committee Chair are ineligible. Projects may not be funded by other granting agencies, and the PI must sign a WACE grant agreement committing to use funds for eligible expenses (maximum 30% for travel), adhere to deadlines, disseminate findings at WACE conferences or symposia and in refereed outlets, and submit required progress and final reports. If the research cannot begin or be completed, or if the PI leaves their institution without agreed fund management, all or unused funds must be returned to WACE.
