WACF Community Impact Grant Round

About this program

The Willmar Area Community Foundation offers Community Impact Grants to support initiatives that create lasting, positive change in Kandiyohi County, Minnesota. Small grants of $5,000–$20,000 fund operations, programs, community innovations, productive aging, community connections, and capital projects; invitation-only Difference Maker grants provide $25,000–$50,000 for collaborative, community-wide efforts. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofits, schools, and government entities, but projects primarily serving children, youth, and families are not eligible in this grant cycle. Applications open November 15, 2026, and are due January 15 at 11:59 p.m.; individuals, political organizations, religious activities, multi-year requests, event sponsorships, and completed projects are generally excluded.
