Waldo Gifford Leland Award — prize for writing in archival history, theory, or practice

The Society of American Archivists Foundation presents the Waldo Gifford Leland Award to honor writing of superior excellence and usefulness in archival history, theory, or practice; the winner receives a certificate and a $1,000 cash prize. Eligible works are monographs or documentary publications (print or digital) first published in English during the preceding calendar year; periodicals are not eligible. Nominations require a completed nomination form and three copies of the publication, submitted by February 28 each year, and winners are chosen by the Writing and Publishing Subcommittee of the SAA Awards Committee.
