Wayne S. Vucinich Book Prize

About this program

The Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies (ASEEES), in partnership with Stanford University’s Center for Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies, awards the Wayne S. Vucinich Book Prize annually for the most important English-language contribution to Russian, Eurasian, or East European studies in the humanities or social sciences. The prize includes a cash award and is presented at the ASEEES Annual Convention. Eligible works must be monographs of no more than two authors, published in the United States and dated the previous calendar year; textbooks, edited collections, translations, reference works, policy analyses, and self-published books are excluded. Authors or publishers must submit the nomination form by April 15 and provide copies to committee members by May 15; authors may nominate a book for no more than two prizes.
