Western Society of Malacologists Student Research Grants in Malacology

About this program

The Western Society of Malacologists offers student research grants of up to $1,000 to support research expenses, including equipment, laboratory supplies, microscopy, and reasonable travel costs. Projects must focus primarily on mollusks in western North America, including research in systematics, biology, ecology, physiology, biochemistry, paleontology, conservation, sustainability, or cultural relationships. Applicants must be full-time undergraduate or graduate students; there are no citizenship or institutional affiliation restrictions. Applications are due March 1 and must include a two-page proposal, budget, CV, advisor recommendation, and current-year funding information submitted as a single PDF.
