William and Sandra Bennett Clinical Scholars Program

About this program

The American Society of Nephrology’s KidneyCure program offers the William and Sandra Bennett Clinical Scholars Program to fund early-career clinician-educators to carry out projects that advance nephrology education (e.g., curricular reform, novel teaching methods, assessment tools) with expectations to publish and present results and acknowledge KidneyCure support. Eligible applicants must hold an MD, DO, PhD, or equivalent, have completed clinical training by the award activation date (July 1, 2026), be full-time faculty within 10 years of initial appointment (extensions may be requested), and commit a minimum of 25% effort to the program. Applicants and their mentors/sponsors must be ASN members, projects must be conducted under qualified mentorship, and recipients must be working in North or Central America or the Caribbean during the funding period; candidates are encouraged to pursue formal or semiformal medical education training during the award.
