The American Marketing Association (AMA) and AMA Foundation administer the William L. Wilkie “Marketing for a Better World” Award to honor marketing scholars whose work has materially advanced marketing’s capacity to improve societal outcomes; the recipient is recognized at the AMA Winter Academic Conference with complimentary registration, a travel stipend, and a Tiffany crystal award. Eligible nominees must be marketing professors; self-nominations are not accepted and nominations must be submitted online by a nominator with contact information, a summary of the nominee’s accomplishments demonstrating impact (e.g., on fairness, efficiency, or new opportunities), and a letter of recommendation—vitae are highly recommended. Up to two additional letters of support may be included, nominations remain active for three years, and eligible contributions may be conceptual, empirical, or applied across all marketing subfields.
