About this program

The W.M. Keck Foundation’s Southern California Program supports organizations in Los Angeles County through projects in arts and culture, civic and community services, early childhood, health care, and pre-collegiate education. Grants support capital projects, program expansion, pilot models, and systems-change initiatives that benefit low-income children, youth, families, and other under-resourced or special-needs populations, with awards of at least $100,000. Eligible applicants must be U.S.-based 501(c)(3) public charities or exempt operating foundations headquartered in Southern California, or national/statewide organizations with an independent local affiliate serving Los Angeles County. Applicants must provide required tax documentation, at least two consecutive years of certified audited financial statements, and a complete Form 990; grants do not support individuals, private foundations, fiscal-sponsorship projects, or activities outside Los Angeles County.
