About this program
The Society for Ethnomusicology’s Section on the Status of Women offers the annual Wong Tolbert Student Paper Prize to recognize an outstanding student paper on women and music that engages feminist, queer, gender, or related social theories. The cash award is determined annually and may not exceed $250. Eligible applicants must be active students, including doctoral candidates writing dissertations but excluding those teaching full-time, who presented the paper in person at the SEM Annual Meeting. Applicants should email the conference version, limited to 12 double-spaced pages, with a cover page containing contact and academic information to sswprize@gmail.com by December 20.
