Youth Recreational Program

About this program

The Roy J. Carver Charitable Trust supports youth recreational projects in eastern Iowa and western Illinois, particularly the construction or renovation of athletic facilities on school or municipal property. Priority is given to projects in Muscatine, Cedar, Louisa, and Scott Counties in Iowa, and Rock Island and Mercer Counties in Illinois; projects elsewhere may be considered case by case. Grants generally cover no more than 25% of total costs, up to $25,000, and applicants should demonstrate substantial local funding and volunteer support. At least 50% of project costs must typically be secured before application, although exceptions may be granted.
