About this program

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) offers the Exobiology: Early Evolution of Life and the Biosphere funding opportunity to support research into the origins and early evolution of life, focusing on molecular and geological records to understand primitive organisms and their environments. This fellowship provides travel funds for selected applicants to attend the Astrobiology Graduate Conference (AbGradCon) and/or the Astrobiology Science Conference (AbSciCon). Eligibility is open to U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, foreign nationals eligible for a J-1 visa, and certain asylees or refugees with valid documentation, all of whom must hold a doctoral degree at the time of application. The deadline for applications is November 1, 2025.
