The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) offers the NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP) fellowship to investigate the emergence and function of catalytic RNAs (ribozymes) in early life, supporting RNA world theories. This research involves in vitro selection, biophysical analysis, and in vivo evaluation of ribozymes to explore their potential in sustaining cellular metabolism and synthetic biology applications. Eligibility is limited to U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, foreign nationals eligible for a J-1 visa, and applicants with pending LPR, asylum, or refugee status holding a valid EAD card, with a doctoral degree required.
