The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) offers the Retention of Habitable Atmospheres in Planetary Systems (RHAPS) fellowship to advance research on how planetary and stellar properties influence atmospheric retention. The program focuses on modeling atmospheric escape processes for various star-planet scenarios, encompassing tasks such as computing stellar inputs, improving escape models, and constructing a multi-dimensional model library. Eligible applicants include U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, foreign nationals eligible for a J-1 visa, and individuals with pending LPR, asylum, or refugee status in the U.S. with valid documentation.
