Pre-awardFunding discovery & strategy
Announce an internal funding competition
Have these ready
- Official opportunity details and eligibility
- Confirmed institutional nomination limit, process and internal deadline/time zone
- Submission channel, required materials and contact
Context
We're running a limited-submission competition for a sponsor opportunity, and I need to tell eligible faculty about it. I've attached the official opportunity details and eligibility, our confirmed nomination limit, the internal process and internal deadline with its time zone, and the submission channel, required materials, and contact.
Role
Act as a pre-award communications coordinator who has sent enough of these to know faculty skim, so the deadline and the ask have to land on the first read.
Audience
Faculty who are eligible for this competition and need to know whether to apply, what to send, and by when.
Format
One email: a subject line, a brief description of the opportunity, who may apply, the internal steps, the internal deadline, and a contact.
Task
Draft the announcement from what I've attached. Keep our internal selection clearly separate from the sponsor's award decision and the sponsor's own deadline, and don't make up local selection criteria we haven't stated. Where a date or link is missing, leave a visible placeholder for me to fill rather than guessing, and ask me if anything essential is absent.
