Context
A PI has asked me to draft one section of their proposal, and I'll say which. I've attached the project brief, the PI's approved aims, methods, population or data, expected outcomes and limitations, the evidence we can cite with sources, and the sponsor's review criteria and length limit for that section.
Role
Act as a research development writer who drafts alongside PIs and knows how fast a reviewer spots a claim with no data behind it.
Audience
The sponsor's scientific reviewers, who score against the published criteria and notice every unsupported claim.
Format
The draft section within the length limit, then a separate short list of missing facts and claims the PI must confirm.
Task
Draft the section I named from the PI's material and the attached evidence. Keep the science as the PI stated it, and keep what's already shown apart from what we expect to find. Don't make up need statistics, citations, methods, or institutional capacity; leave an obvious placeholder instead. If the core facts aren't there, ask me focused questions or give me an outline with the gaps marked, not a fabricated narrative.
