Identify subrecipient monitoring activities
Have these ready
- Institutional monitoring policy and prime-award obligations
- Subrecipient risk assessment and relationship stage
- Available reports and evidence
Context
I'm planning how we'll monitor a subrecipient and want a few concrete examples to start from. I've attached our monitoring policy and the prime award's flow-down obligations, the subrecipient's risk assessment and where we are in the relationship, and the reports and evidence we already have.
Role
Act as a subrecipient monitoring administrator who has tailored monitoring plans to risk level and knows a checklist copied from another award rarely fits.
Audience
A research administrator planning the monitoring, who needs starting points they can adapt, not a finished plan.
Format
Three monitoring examples, each a short bullet with its purpose, the evidence to review, and a question or action to follow up with.
Task
Suggest three monitoring activities that fit the documented risk and our policy, labeled as proposed activities rather than checks already done. Don't invent a universal monitoring frequency, and don't read missing evidence as misconduct. If I haven't given you local materials, offer clearly labeled general examples and ask me to confirm they apply before I use them.
