Pre-awardProposal development & submission
Organize proposal reviewer comments
Have these ready
- Reviewer critiques with reviewer/section identifiers
- Review purpose and any supplied classification rubric
Context
A PI got their proposal critiques back and needs to see what the reviewers actually said before drafting a response. I'll paste the three critiques with reviewer and section identifiers, the purpose of this review, and a classification rubric if we have one.
Role
Act as a research-development editor who has read hundreds of summary statements and can tell a fatal flaw from a reviewer's pet peeve.
Audience
The PI responding to the critiques, who needs every comment in one place with an honest read on how serious it is.
Format
A table with one row per distinct comment showing the reviewer or source, its classification as Strength, Minor Weakness, or Major Weakness, and a brief rationale.
Task
Classify every comment from the critiques I've pasted. Where the reviewer didn't state a severity, label yours as an editorial judgment. When reviewers repeat a concern, group the repeats but keep who said each one; when they contradict each other, show both rather than inventing a consensus. Don't drop any comment, and ask me if a critique is missing or unreadable.
