AAAA Scholarship Grant

About this program

The AAAA Scholarship Foundation, in cooperation with the Army Aviation Association of America (AAAA), provides college-level scholarship grants to AAAA members and to spouses, unmarried siblings, children and grandchildren of current and deceased AAAA members. Applications and supporting documents must be submitted via SmarterSelect to the AAAA National Office by May 1 (references have until June 1); files are de-identified and evaluated by a volunteer National Scholarship Selection Committee that ranks applicants on an Order of Merit List (OML) within Freshmen, Upperclassmen and Graduate groupings. Grants are assigned in descending dollar amount to applicants by OML with prioritization across applicant categories and matching-fund rules (Chapter, Individual, Heritage, Corporate); award durations vary by amount (<$2,000 = one year; $2,000–<$4,000 = two years; ≥$4,000 = four years). Chapters may choose to assign chapter-funded awards to local applicants or retain funds at the national level for subsequent assignment per the program’s Option 1/Option 2 provisions.
