AABB Foundation Early-Career Scientific Research Grants

About this program

The AABB Foundation’s Early-Career Scientific Research Grants support investigator-initiated, innovative research in blood banking, transfusion medicine, biotherapies, and related areas, with awards of up to $100,000 for one- or two-year projects. Proposals should provide seed funding for preliminary data and demonstrate scientific merit, relevance to transfusion medicine, potential impact, and promise for future funding. Applicants may apply worldwide and must be MDs, PhDs, medical technologists, or transfusion medicine or biotherapies professionals who completed a terminal degree or residency within the past 10 years and have not received a substantial research grant such as an NIH R01. Applications are accepted through Dec. 1, and applicants may receive only one AABB Foundation early-career grant.
