AAOA Foundation Research Award

About this program

The American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy Foundation offers annual Research Awards of up to $10,000 in direct costs for one-year, non-renewable projects investigating the pathogenesis, diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of otolaryngic allergy. Approximately two to eight awards are made annually, and projects must have a primary allergy endpoint or substantial relevance to the AAOA. Residents and medical students are encouraged to apply, but the principal investigator or key personnel must be current AAOA members in good standing or applicants for membership. Applications require an abstract, four-page research plan, references, and detailed budget, with results presented at an AAOA scientific meeting and a manuscript submitted to the International Forum of Allergy and Rhinology.
