AAOA Foundation Research Award

About this program

The American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy Foundation offers annual Research Awards to advance understanding of otolaryngic allergy, including research on its pathogenesis, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment. Two to eight projects may receive up to $10,000 in direct costs for a one-year, non-renewable period; indirect costs and principal investigator salary support are not allowed. Residents and medical students are encouraged to apply, and the principal investigator or key personnel must be current AAOA members in good standing or applicants for membership. Proposals must include an abstract, four-page research plan, references, and budget justification, with research results presented at an AAOA scientific meeting and submitted for publication in the International Forum of Allergy and Rhinology.
