AAOA Foundation Research Award

About this program

The American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy Foundation offers research awards to advance understanding of otolaryngic allergy, including its pathogenesis, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment. Awards provide up to $10,000 in direct costs for one year, with approximately two to eight projects funded annually; indirect costs and principal investigator salary are not supported. Residents and medical students are encouraged to apply, but the principal investigator or a key personnel member must be a current AAOA member in good standing or become an active membership candidate. Proposals must include an allergy-focused endpoint or substantial relevance to AAOA and be submitted by the June 1 or December 1 deadline with an abstract, research plan, references, and detailed budget.
