AAP Foundation Teaching Fellowships

About this program

The American Academy of Periodontology Foundation offers $25,000 Teaching Fellowships to provide debt relief and support the academic careers of young periodontal educators. Awards provide $5,000 annually for five years, contingent on documented continued full-time teaching. Applicants must be within their first three years of full-time teaching at, or have accepted a full-time periodontology faculty position at, an accredited U.S. dental school. Applications are due June 1; finalists must attend a selection interview at the AAP Annual Meeting at their own expense.
