AAPA Post-Doctoral Leadership Fellows Program

About this program

The Asian American Psychological Association (AAPA) offers a two‑year Post‑Doctoral Leadership Fellows Program to develop leadership skills among early‑career psychologists from diverse backgrounds through mentorship, monthly professional development sessions, and opportunities to observe and participate in AAPA Executive Committee activities. Fellows complete a mentored Fellows' Project to present at the AAPA conference and receive an annual stipend to defray travel costs (up to $1,000 per trip, $2,000 per year); additional travel/participation expenses are the fellow’s responsibility. Eligible applicants are AAPA members who have completed their doctoral degree and are early‑career psychologists—preference is given to candidates with interest/experience in social justice and some local leadership experience but limited prior national leadership; application requires a cover sheet (from the AAPA website), CV, a ≤1,500‑word statement, and one letter of reference.
