Access Path to Psychology and Law Experience (AP) Program

About this program

The American Psychology-Law Society’s BRIDGE Committee offers the Access Path to Psychology and Law Experience (AP) Program to support undergraduate and terminal master’s students from groups underrepresented in psychology and law. Awards provide up to $4,000 per student, including research stipends and support to attend the AP-LS conference, along with mentoring and professional development. Applicants must be promising students from an underrepresented group who are not already conducting the proposed research with the faculty mentor; projects must provide meaningful, faculty-supervised research experience. Applications require student and mentor statements, a research experience proposal, faculty support letter, tax form, and commitments to approximately 10 hours of research weekly, professional development, conference participation, and research dissemination by the January 15, 2027 deadline.
