ACDS Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Healthcare Disparities Research Award

About this program

The American Contact Dermatitis Society (ACDS) offers research awards up to $10,000 (typically $3,000–$5,000) to support studies of diversity, equity, inclusion and healthcare disparities in dermatitis, with awarded funds to be spent within 18 months. Eligible applicants are medical students, residents, research fellows, dermatologists, and investigators based in North, Central, or South America; either the applicant or the project sponsor must be an ACDS fellow. Proposals (PDF) must be ≤5 pages (including a one‑page detailed budget), describe aims, significance, preliminary data, methods (including protected health information handling), and include CVs/biosketches, letters of support, and IRB/animal approvals as applicable; indirect costs and PI salary are not supported. Applications are due by 11:59 PM CST on October 15 annually, and funded projects must give an interim oral presentation at the next ACDS meeting and submit a manuscript to Dermatitis Journal upon completion.
