ACG Emerging Leaders Program

About this program

The American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) Emerging Leadership Program develops future gastroenterology leaders through coursework, online sessions, networking, and an in-person course covering communication, negotiation, time and change management, and equity, diversity, and inclusion. The program is limited to 20 participants, has no registration fee, and includes an in-person course June 5–7, 2026, in Washington, DC. Applicants must be ACG member physicians in their third or fourth year of U.S.-based GI fellowship training with demonstrated leadership potential. Applications require a CV, personal statement, and nomination responses from an eligible institutional or ACG leader; the 2027 application portal is scheduled to open September 14–November 23, 2026.
