ACGH Award for Research Support

About this program

The ASTMH Committee on Global Health (ACGH) offers the ACGH Award for Research Support to fund trainee-led projects that address health issues affecting underserved and under-resourced populations and that advance the ACGH Strategic Plan; three awards of up to $2,000 each will support research expenses such as travel, equipment, supplies, software or reagents, with funds disbursed in June 2026. Applicants must be trainees (undergraduate through postdoctoral, including residents) or within four years post-training, be members of ASTMH and ACGH, and have a university/research-institute-approved project currently active or beginning in 2026; women and non‑U.S. citizens from LMICs are encouraged to apply. Submit via the ASTMH award site (opens April 21) by May 11 with a cover letter describing project relevance to global health and the ACGH Strategic Plan, timeline, requested amount and budget, a 3-page CV/NIH biosketch, a supervisor’s letter confirming approvals, and a headshot; awardees attending the ASTMH Annual Meeting must give a brief (~2-minute) presentation.
