ACMCIP Award for Advanced Training

About this program

ACMCIP, in partnership with ASTMH, offers the Award for Advanced Training—up to $1,000 to defray travel, registration, and accommodation for trainees attending hands-on, practical post‑graduate courses (minimum one day) in molecular, cellular, or immunoparasitology (excluding ASTMH pre‑meeting courses and general scientific/clinical meetings). Selection is based on research excellence and course relevance; awardees must submit a brief report and evaluation after course completion and present a summary at the ACMCIP Council Meeting the following year, with public announcement at the ACMCIP Annual Business Meeting. Eligible applicants are ASTMH and ACMCIP members who are trainees (MS, MD, DPharm, PhD) or postdoctoral fellows within four years of their terminal degree. Applications via the ASTMH awards site open April 14 and must include a cover letter describing current research and course justification (dates and fees), a CV, a supervisor recommendation addressing supplemental funding, and a 2x2 headshot; incomplete submissions received after May 4 will not be forwarded.
