ACMCIP Exchange Fellowship Award

About this program

ACMCIP (in partnership with ASTMH) offers the ACMCIP Exchange Fellowship to fund short-term laboratory visits that develop hands-on, cutting‑edge research skills, providing up to $500 for domestic travel or up to $2,000 for international travel (awards issued via ACH/wire in June 2026). Eligible applicants are trainees—MS, MD, DPharm, PhD students, post‑doctoral fellows, research professors, or junior faculty within six years of their final degree—who are or will become ASTMH and ACMCIP members; selection emphasizes research excellence and relevance of the host lab’s technology to the applicant’s training. Applications (submitted via the ASTMH award site) must name a specific host lab and learning goal and include a cover letter describing current research and rationale, CV, a supervisor’s letter (noting any additional funds or implementation plans), a host lab acceptance letter, and a high‑resolution headshot; incomplete applications received after May 4 will not be forwarded to reviewers. Awardees must submit a brief post‑visit evaluation and present a summary at the next ACMCIP Council Meeting; questions may be directed to Buffy Finn (bfinn@astmh.org).
