ACS/Triological Society Clinical Scientist Development Award

About this program

The American College of Surgeons and the Triological Society jointly offer the ACS/Triological Society Clinical Scientist Development Award, a competitive supplemental grant for otolaryngologists–head and neck surgeons who hold a new NIH Mentored Clinical Scientist Development Award (K08/K23) or an existing K08/K23 with at least three years remaining as of October 1 of the application year. The award provides up to $80,000 per year for up to five years (or for the remainder of an existing K award) to support research career development and acquisition of pilot data aimed at submitting a competitive R01. Applicants must be Associate Fellows or Fellows of the American College of Surgeons, and funding is awarded based on the meritorious review of applications.
