Action Grants

About this program

Humanities Kansas offers Action Grants of up to $3,500 to support small, public-facing humanities projects—such as interpretive exhibitions, community conversations, films, and podcasts—that draw on Kansas history, literature, and culture to spark discussion and civic engagement; applications may be submitted at any time but must be filed at least six weeks before the first event, and the program is currently suspended until further notice. Eligible applicants are in-state nonprofit organizations, including colleges and universities; 501(c)(3) status is not required. Applicants must supply a Unique Entity ID (UEID) from SAM.gov set to public for HK confirmation, and organizations with an open Humanities Kansas grant are ineligible until that grant is closed; awards are made as funding allows.
