ACVO Vision for Animals Foundation Resident Grant Program

About this program

The ACVO Vision for Animals Foundation (ACVO‑VAF) offers Resident Grants of up to $7,500 to support research in veterinary ophthalmology for ABVO‑approved residents, funding research supplies, limited equipment, publication costs and limited technical salary. The grant does not cover resident or faculty salaries, tuition, major equipment, or institutional indirect costs; animal studies require Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) approval at submission and funded results must be presented at the Annual ACVO Conference. Applicants must be sponsored by their ABVO mentor(s), follow the Resident Grant Instructions and template (plagiarism is prohibited), and submit applications by Monday, December 7, 2026 at 11:59 pm ET; funding decisions will be notified by January 31, 2026.
