AF/AOFAS Ankle Arthritis Think Tank Research Grants Program

About this program

The Arthritis Foundation and AOFAS offer three grants of up to $250,000 each over two years to support innovative clinical research aimed at preventing, slowing, or treating ankle and hindfoot osteoarthritis. Projects must use patient-reported outcomes, comply with applicable IRB requirements, and may not involve animal studies; recipients are expected to participate in meetings, report progress, publish findings, and pursue subsequent institutional funding. Principal investigators must be U.S.-based AOFAS members in good standing, and eligible organizations include higher education institutions and 501(c)(3) nonprofits.
