AGA Student Abstract Award

About this program

The American Gastroenterological Association Research Foundation offers 19 one-year Student Abstract Awards of $500 for travel to Digestive Disease Week, with the top-scoring abstract receiving $1,000 and additional named prizes available. Applicants must be graduate or medical students or medical residents up to postgraduate year three at North American institutions, and must be first or presenting authors of an AGA-accepted DDW abstract reporting original digestive-system research. Applications require proof of abstract acceptance, a CV or NIH biosketch, and sponsorship by an AGA member in good standing; the deadline is February 18, 2027.
